During term time, children on the dinosaur register have 2 visits per week (1 morning and 1 afternoon session) from Sam, the creator of Acting Bugs.
Each 30 minute interactive drama session includes:
- Music and singing
- Movement and physical expression
- Interactive storytelling and improvisation
- Puppets and props
The session follows the same structure each week, allowing the children to learn through the repetition and anticipation of knowing what is coming next! The exciting stories are a mixture of well loved classics alongside original stories specially written for Acting Bugs and change every month. Pre-discussed themes can also be incorporated into the sessions to complement any of our preschool activities.
These sessions get young imaginations buzzing whilst developing focus and building confidence in a safe, friendly and fun environment.
Samantha Seager is an actress and best known to young children as “Bobby The Bus Cleaner” from Cbeebies “Me Too!”
Testimonial from Redwood Pre School Leytonstone.
“The children rush to the carpet as soon as Sam arrives at the gate and can’t wait to begin their Acting Bugs sessions. They join in enthusiastically with everything she does, and there is lots of variety in the pace of her activities which keeps them fully focused.
There is a good balance between songs, rhymes and games which the children quickly come to recognise (and repeat in their own play), and opportunities to try something new and exercise their imaginations.
Our children have journeyed to the moon, played with magic toys, flown on a magic carpet and explored under the sea – and all without leaving the preschool!”
